    Oyster Dressings

I love eating freshly shucked oysters and especially love the different oyster dressing flavors. It's sometimes hard to come up with easy oyster dressing ideas. Some people love to have plain shucked oysters, "au naturel" with a squeeze of fresh squeezed lemon wedge. And that definitely has its place. Other people add a dash of tabasco sauce on the oyster before slurping it down. But how do you make an easy oyster dressing that everyone will love, and is a bit fancy?

These Asian Dressed Oysters provide a delicious way to enjoy fresh oysters, instead of eating them 'au naturel' with plain lemon. This recipe has Chinese inspired flavors with soy sauce, ginger and chili. However, I'm not sure this method of preparing and eating oysters is traditionally Chinese. So Asian Dressed Oysters it is! If raw oysters aren't your thing, try these baked oysters called Oysters Kilpatrick, with bacon!

    Rock Salt for Oysters

Living by the ocean, I love eating fresh seafood. Every supermarket in Australia sells fresh Oysters on the half shell, which is perfect for this recipe. You will need to buy Rock Salt to serve your fresh oysters with. To make your rock salt a bit fancy, I sometimes serve them on Himalayan Rock Salt, which has fancy hues of pink. I usually buy them at Aldi, so it doesn't break the bank!

Rock salt isn't for eating, but placed on your serving plate. Oysters are uneven and hard to put on a plate. The Rock Salt allows the oysters to be served upright. It also looks kind of cool, but don't eat the Rock Salt!
