Greek Meze

These Greek Meze Plates will blow your guests away! Greek appetizers are perfect for a summer bbq party, holiday gathering or a Greek party!

Ingredients

Seafood and Chicken

Dips

  • Tzatziki
  • Greek Eggplant Dip
  • Taramasalata
  • Hummus with Beets

Vegetables

  • Greek Salad
  • Dolmas (stuffed grape leaves)
  • Giant Greek Beans
  • Kalamata Olives

Cheeses

  • Feta Cheese
  • Saganaki Fried Greek Cheese

Breads

  • Pita Bread
  • Crusty loaf sliced

Dessert

Drinks

  • Ouzo
  • Wine

Instructions

Meat and Seafood

  • If preparing the optional Chicken Souvlaki and Grilled Octopus, prepare in advance and cook last so it is served immediately.
  • Place Marinated Anchovies on a plate and put on the serving table.

Dips

  • Place the dips onto small plates and place around the table.

Vegetables

  • Prepare the Greek Salad. Only pour the Greek Salad dressing when you are ready to serve. This will take around 15 minutes to prepare.
  • Place the Dolmas, Greek Beans and Kalamata Olives onto small plates and place around the table.

Cheeses

  • Place the Feta cheese onto a plate. Drizzle with Olive Oil and sprinkle with Greek Oregano. Place Kalamata Olives around the Feta and place on the table.
  • Frying Greek Cheese (Saganaki) only takes a few minutes, and should be served immediately after frying. Fry this when your table is set and you are ready to eat. Drizzle with honey when serving.

Breads

  • Place warmed Pita bread and sliced crusty breads in a basket and put not he table.

Dessert

  • Bake Figs with honey and butter for about 8-10 minutes. Serve over vanilla ice cream.

Drinks

  • Serve Ouzo in a tall glass filled with ice. Pour 2 oz of Ouzo and allow the ice to start to melt before drinking.
