How to Cook Snow Peas

Everyone needs to know how to cook Snow Peas. A versatile Asian side dish or a Stir Fry, topped with pine nuts. Crispy and delicious, a 10 minute side dish everyone will love.

  • Wok or skillet


  • 2 tablespoons pine nuts
  • ¼ pound /250g snow peas
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 ribs celery thinly sliced
  • 2 green onions thinly sliced
  • 1 can water chestnuts
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce


  • Toast pine nuts in a skillet until they are golden brown, set aside.
  • Trim the ends off the snow peas, removing the stringy fibre on the side.
  • Heat the skillet on high heat until hot, saute garlic for 30 seconds
  • Add snow peas and celery and fry for 2 minutes
  • Toss in water chestnuts, green onions and soy sauce for 30 seconds
  • Serve immediately, garnished with pine nuts


Can substitute pine nuts with toasted sesame seeds
