  • Prepare the ribs by generously salting with a coarse salt.

Gas Bbq Flanken Ribs

  • Heat the gas bbq until hot. Sear the beef ribs until they are nicely browned. Move the ribs to a cooler part of the bbq and reduce heat to low.
  • Turn the ribs while they are cooking until they are done, which should take about 20 minutes. These ribs are not served rare, but are cooked well done.

Charcoal Flanken Ribs

  • Prepare a charcoal fire. When the bbq briquettes are white and hot. Spread them evenly over ½ the bbq to allow for a cool spot on the grill.
  • Sear the ribs on both sides and move them over indirect heat until cooked
  • Turn the ribs while they are cooking until they are done, which should take about 20 minutes. These ribs are not served rare, but are cooked well done.

Chimichurri Sauce

  • Prepare in advance and serve with Chimichurri sauce.
