Strawberries and Sour Cream is a simple Russian dessert that's so easy to make. A rustic recipe from the old country, that's rich and creamy. Generously smothered on bread, this recipe takes me back to my childhood. (клубника со сметаной)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb /500g fresh strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of sour cream or greek yogurt
  • fresh baguette bread optional

Instructions

  • Cut washed strawberries in half and place in a bowl.
  • Using a potato masher, crush strawberries together until they are mashed. You still want a few chunky strawberry pieces.
  • Add sour cream and sugar. Adjust to taste.
  • Serve on a piece of bread or baguette.
