Truffle recipes don't have to be scary! Truffle Grilled Cheese sandwiches are delicious and perfectly paired with black truffles. A nutty, earthy flavor melted through the cheese. A fancy way to enjoy lunch after a truffle hunt!

Ingredients

  • 4 slices bread
  • 2 slices gruyere cheese
  • 2 slices cheddar
  • 4 tablespoons grated parmesan
  • fresh truffle or truffle oil infusion
  • butter

Instructions

  • Prepare Bread - spread butter evenly on one side of each bread slice.
  • Build Sandwich - place slice of Gruyere on the unbuttered slice of bread. Slice or grate the truffles over the cheese slice. Spoon on the parmesan over the truffle. Cover with the slice of cheddar cheese. If using truffle oil, drizzle a tablespoon over shredded cheese.
  • Fry - heat a frying pan and place the sandwiches (buttered side facing out) on the pan, or on a bbq flattop grill. Grill over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden and the cheese has melted.
  • Serve - cut on the diagonal and serve while hot.
