Ingredients

  • 2 Long English Cucumbers sliced
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup fresh dill chopped
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • ½ small white onion thinly sliced
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Wash the cucumbers thoroughly under cold water. If desired, peel the cucumbers for a more delicate texture. Slice the cucumbers into thin rounds and place them in a large bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the sour cream, fresh dill, white vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.
  • Pour the sour cream mixture over the sliced cucumbers. Gently toss the cucumbers to ensure they are evenly coated with the dressing.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. This step also helps to chill the salad and enhance its refreshing nature.
  • Before serving, give the salad a final stir. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed by adding more salt, pepper, or dill according to your preference.
  • Serve the Mizeria chilled as a side dish or a refreshing salad. It pairs well with grilled meats, roasted chicken, or as part of a salad bar. Enjoy!
